Guest guest
So glad to hear this Val. I have heard also that some people don't do well on the synthetic insulins. There are a small minority of folks who are still using animal insulin who really have to fight to keep that option. Linn > >>I'm sorry you're feeling crappy. But I am doing the best I can wiht this which ,means testing my sugar almost hourly and adjusting the dose wiht abotu 5 injecitons a day. I am alreayd more than double what i was prescribed and sitl not keep ing the blood levels I need for health,. When I get it down to 120 (still too high! ) I feel like I am on speed the energy flows so well. All my body pains leave and even my almost copnstant headache, but then within a couple hours either I go too high agian and need mORE insulin or too low and have to eat to bring it back up which then goes too high agian. This insulin is impossible to adjust right. but I will be dpoing muvch better by then end of next week when i will have the right stuff! There are Diabetes angels out there too, this guy is a retired engineer and Diabetic that had to figure out this on his own as Diabetes doctors are no better than thyroid/adrenal doctors it seems. Guest guest
>>Wonderful! What do you put this lovely reading down to Val?<< Starvation and copious amounts of Insulin yesterday..~ LOL I ended up with taking 80 u yesterday and am prescribed 35... Sad how badly they missed the mark. I am still unable to eat any carbs to speak of without having spikes. NO grains, even sugar free candy spikes me! I can eat meat, eggs and cheese and a small glass of milk and low carb yogurts and maintain this, but OMG the cravings on that few carbs is horrible. And if it is like the last time I went on Atkins it will make me ill after a while. So I am praying for the better insulin to arrive soon. I learned something yesterday that I need to have testing done for.. Most type 1 Diabetics it is autoimmune.. YIKES, and it Can happen later in life though not as often. With the amounts of insulin I am needing, it is possible though & I should have testing done for it. Guest guest
I really don't know why I seem to need it but have since childhood. Right now I am down to 1 grass a day and my fingernails are crumbling, literally! Then my hair gets like straw then the stomach problems begin. Right now I have perfect bowel movements for the first time in my life (started when i was on HC ) and i have no symptoms of milk allergy or any lactose problems. I only drink organic milk and I am sure that helps, but Cottage cheese, yogurt and my 1 glass of milk are staples in my diet, and will remain so. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
your insulin response is from BOTH the carbs in the food and the PERCEIVED sweetness of it. So sweeteners are of no help if your body perceives the sweetness of it. Better to balance with real sugar your protein and fats for a good response. YMMV but there is a lot to be gained by knowing this if you use sweeteners. Your body remembers and you can have an insulin rush from even *thinking* about eating certain things. i find it is best to test and know your own body.
