Gads I screwed up my scheduling.. I have ONE dog at 9Am then nothing to do till noon. Guess I will be taking a book to work with me. That's a late start for you girl! I ended up taking 2 3/4 grains altogether yesterday and then came the insomnia (even with four lots of sleeping pills) and the palps. I took an extra 5 h.c and then another 5 and they eased a bit but still no sleep. And then I woke way too early! Aint life grand sometimes? I feel a sense of relief now that I have the recent labs back as I felt like I was going mad, feeling so very bad and not knowing what the heck what going on with me. So still brain-dead today.l have been trying to look back to my posts throughout the summer to see if I can suss when I appear to have been at my best but my brain is not playing ball on this one at all. Just end up going round in circles. I suppose I am concerned about shooting up to 3 grains in case I miss that sweep spot again. I did have hyper symptoms Val before as well the two lots of labs showing me well over the range i.e. anxiety, insomnia, palps and the mysterious constant weeing which stopped when I lowered the Armour. Maybe my head will be clearer tomorrow and I will try to check out earlier posts for clues. thanks for you help Val. Guest guest
Thank God!!! :0) (smile) Val, I have noticed a pattern with my treatment so far. After I take my 5mg. dose of Iso. in the AM, I feel soooooo tired and my body starts to almost freeze up so that I have to go back to sleep and then it isn't until my next dose that I start to wake up. I am taking 5-2.5- 2.5 and sometime a fourth dose between the 2nd and last. I feel a little better after I get my last dose in me....early evening is best. Is this some sign that I need more in the am?? or, on too much? Then, when I try to only take 1/2 gr. of Armour, I end up taking a grain to a grain 1/2 bc of heavy feeling in chest. (like right now) I have one period of the day where I feel hot but, my temps. are not high. What do you suggest? This weekend I have to help move my Mom into a new house so need to also know how to do that on my current dose. Can I up it during that time? Thanks, Dana > > Just to say I am here. >
Guest guest
Hi Dana, I know Val will reply, but wanted to let you know I have found for me due to adrenal issues, taking thyroid first, then following with HC later is much better for me. Still have trouble determing what thryoid to take, but if I take HC early with no thyroid first I could basically go back to bed also...I then feel better in the afternoon and evening, which is totally related to adrenal fatigue issues. hope things go well in your move this week, take care > > > > Just to say I am here. > > >
Guest guest
Dana, If you are suffering from adrenal insufficiency, watch the exertion with your Mom's move. Us folks in this boat tend to sink rather than swim after intense exercise. danamarie39 wrote: Thank God!!! :0) (smile) Val, I have noticed a pattern with my treatment so far. So will you be able to get the other kind of insulin that you need from the doctor you have been seeing recently? It must be hell at the moment. Having got the diagnosis not being able to access the correct meds. Plus the symptoms. BUT this will pass, this is fine-tuning time Val, and as you are already an expert patient, you will get where you need to be faster the The Average Bear. Guest guest
You might try increasing your morning dose first. It took me quite a while to increase the isocort, and I had to stop the armour because I got a dump as soon as I began the isocort. I always kept the first dose of isocort highest because of the same symptoms you are having. When I got to 20 I took 10 on awakening and then 5 and 5 ending before three - that seemed to carry me to bedtime. I had a few days of big stress and getting freezing cold by noon a few weeks ago. That encouraged me to try Cortef, which I started a few days ago. I'm using the same breakdown in dosing and it seems to be working. Good luck! Guest guest
>>You got the metformin and some other med. right? and that did not help so you found this different doctor who prescribed you insulin and you had to figure out how much and when from the testing with your finger-prick device?<< Right so far, but the insulin I got was not what I need. I have aFINALLY found someone to help me wiht this and have the corecct insulinS coming.. yes two separate kinds. The oine I was prescribed has two kindin it in a mix thta is supposed to be one kind fits all.. wel I am using more than double the prescription and it still is not keeping my numbers anywhere near where they should be. The kind man i found to halp me wiht this is a retired engineer that is really the kind of expert I need for htis. ANd he also says I should be tested for pancreatic antibodies.. Wiht other autoimmunne diseases it may be that i will be a type 1 before long if thta is in the works I will need to be even more careful wiht this. I feel bad when my glucose is high. NO energy, pain, headaches. It has been explained ot me thta insulin has antiinflammatory properties of it's own, which is why when I get ENOUGH in me I feel so much better. That and it stops the damage beimng caused by the high sugar levels. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I'm sorry you're feeling crappy. Are there any good diabetes yahoo groups, or bulletin boards anywhere? Guest guest
>>I'm sorry you're feeling crappy. Are there any good diabetes yahoo groups, or bulletin boards anywhere? Did you try on the About site?<< Actually I joined three different Yahoo groups and the level of knowledge is lower than what I have already especially about eating! I just yesterday was directed to a fella that has a private list, off Yahoo that I joined and had a long chat wiht this ANGEL of a man last night. We talked over an hour last night on the phone and i trust his judgement and he is going to help me get my levels straightened out. First thing is I have ordered the RIGHT Insulins that I need instead of this pre-mixed stuff i have.. wrong insulin. But I am doing the best I can wiht this which ,means testing my sugar almost hourly and adjusting the dose wiht abotu 5 injecitons a day. I am alreayd more than double what i was prescribed and sitl not keep ing the blood levels I need for health,. When I get it down to 120 (still too high! ) I feel like I am on speed the energy flows so well. All my body pains leave and even my almost copnstant headache, but then within a couple hours either I go too high agian and need mORE insulin or too low and have to eat to bring it back up which then goes too high agian. This insulin is impossible to adjust right. but I will be dpoing muvch better by then end of next week when i will have the right stuff! There are Diabetes angels out there too, this guy is a retired engineer and Diabetic that had to figure out this on his own as Diabetes doctors are no better than thyroid/adrenal doctors it seems. So he is spending his retirement helping others get their levels straightened out. THANK YOU LORD for sending me to him. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
