Guest guest
Hi , Thanks so much hon, I really appreciate that, I suppose it is kind of hard to get an accurate reading as the levels do fluctuate so much at your age, but I'm including this list below, maybe it can give you some idea. I think 35 is probably a good time to insist on a level being done... because there are some women believe it or not, who can start the 'change' that young, and I'd definitely say no later than 40, but that's my opinon. The only other thing I can say, is that most likely your blood level hormones are ok right now, but..... that doesn't mean that the tissue itself and it's receptors are receiving what they need from the blood as far as those hormones. Like I've said, my own levels were fine bloodwise, but it was only when 'I' added the topical creams of Estrace and testosterone that it worked...... so in a way, see what I mean where it may not matter anyway. (at least right now) The main reason to me, is to have those levels for 'down the road' so that when you do go into menopause... you'll know 'you're' normal levels and not some charts or a doctor saying you're in the normal range and fluff you off. Hope this helps, and so so sorry you're not feeling any better, are you at all? What have you been doing for treatment, just curious.. Hang in there , I know how you feel hon, honest I do, but never ever give up that hope ok? Sending you healing thoughts and (((((((hugs))))))))) Take care, Dee ~ ....... see article below. This is an interesting article on our hormone levels from Dr. R.Jelovsek.. very good I think, hope it helps (my comments are in brackets) . Dee __________________________________________________ HORMONE LEVELS/ Normal 'premenopausal' hormone values <--(notice Pre menopausal) 'typical' Estradiol (17b) ranges from 25 - 500 pg/mlfollicular phase 25 - 75 pg/ml (first two weeks)(starts day one of your period) (1-14)ovulation 200 - 500 pg/ml (mid cycle) ( 14 )luteal phase 100 - 300 pg/ml (last two weeks) (15-28)Progesterone ranges from 0.3 - 60 ng/mlfollicular phase less than 1 mg/ml (first two weeks) very minimal days 1-14ovulation luteal phase 5 - 60 ng/ml (2nd two weeks) higher days 14-28Testosterone ranges 20-80 ng/dlit does not vary with the menstrual cycle. (but can vary throughout the day, early morning being highest) (For menopausal women, he says) If you wanted to keep at a steady dose of the hormones so that you could take the same dose each day, I suggest trying to keep the serum values at:estradiol 50-100 pg/ml ------>( Dr. Vliet thinks this should be a min. range of 80-100 for menpausal women) progesterone less than 1 ng/ml ----->(not important in menopausal women and is rarely tested for) testosterone 50-60 ng/dl------> (this can be a big culprit and often not high enough) As you can see these are more compatible with the follicular phase (first two weeks) ofthe menses in pre menopausal women, which tends to have much less "hormonal" problems associated with it. from R.J.
