Jeannie,

Thanks for the laugh (I'm not laughing at you but with you). The picture you painted was just wonderful. I'm sorry it's not working. Keep trying. It seems to be helping some. You have got to post some of these pics. I'm sure your ideas are going to help someone else who doesn't have such a determined little boy : )

Re: To Becky/An update on my repo invention (a 3 lb bag of rice!)

hi becky,

totally can relate. my little guy will BREAK out of anything while sleeping. I seem to be only successful in repositioning by day.. but once night fall hits.. I am not successful at getting him to stay off his flat side.

In fact, last night I tried my latest invention.. a 3 lb bag of rice velcroed to his sleeper... At 3am, he managed to get back to sleeping on his flat side. I've tried other things such as the receiving blanets and velcroing foam. They don't work. However, I am not giving up. After 19 days of repoing, I am seeing some rounding out.. so maybe the day repoing is working.. and maybe the memory foam by night is not making things worse (although some folks on this site have said it hasn't been working)

Anyways, I am tired today. My conclusion of my plagio kid.. is that he is big and strong.. and that's probably how his head flatenned in utero... He must have been pushing pretty strong on the pelvis somehwere...

On a lighter/funnier note, he fllashed a BIG smile at 5am when I was trying to repo him. The crib was a disaster... all of his blankets were off.and somehow the buttons of his sleeper were off.. his socks were off.. and his toes were sticking out of the sleeper ..and even though the 3 lb bag of rice was still velcroed onto him.. he was on his flat side... kicking up a storm and laughing.. sorta of like.."ha.. ha... mom.. I can outbeat you with this positioning stuff."

Sorry I haven't had any successes with any of my repo inventions. However, I will have wonderful pictures of the "morning after- a not so successful night of repoing!"

Hi all. My little boy is 4.5 months old. We just started pt this past week. They want to wait till 6 months before deciding rather to band or not. Which is driving me crazy. I'm so worried that it will be too late to correct his facial unevenness. They keep saying it's not. I'm trying to do everything I can in the mean time to help his plagio. I was wondering what others used in their babies cribs. Zayne is such a mover! He isn't rolling over yet, but will do 360 deg turns in bed. I can lay him down straight and an hour later he is completely sideways or upside down. So I'm assuming that I can't use a head and back sleep positioner. What do you guys for your babies? I would like to do something for him while he sleeps. That is at least 1/2 the day that he is on his 'flat spot'. No matter if I turn him or not, he will turn always end up looking the wrong way. Thanks in advance BeckyZayne 09/05/03andria, LAFor more plagio info

Oh Jeannie,

The visual on the 5 am repo check was priceless! He sounds like a

regular houdini, who's actually getting a kick out of all the repo

stuff you're throwing his way! Sounds like he blasted his way out

of everything.

I commend you for not giving up; hopefully you'll be able to make

some modifications to your repo inventions that will confound your

son, at least for a little while!

I know you must be tired, and I feel your pain!

I hope you have better luck tonight, and take care,

Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy)
