Guest guest
shannon, i had it as an adult...i was 35! and i gave it to my son who was 18 months. i know there is alot of reading material that states its really bad in adults. i have no doubt it can be... but i had a pretty mild case. not saying i was comfortable but i had very few pox... my son actually got it worse. the other thing is i had been tested a few years before i had it cause i worked in a hospital and had been exposed....they said even most people who think they didnt get it actually had a very mild case and are immune. out of the 20 or so they tested who didnt think they had it, i was the only one who actually didnt. you can go to your doctor and ask for a vericella titer. its a blood test that will determine if you had exposeure and are immune or not. that way if you dont get it this time...you will know in the futrue if there is anything to worry about keeping you in my thoughts! lee Health Rant.... It is never going to end is it?I no sooner start getting OVER bronchitus when my songets sick.....with chicken pox....which I have never had.....Oh joy of joys.....I do not know whether I will develop it or not, I hopeNOT. But we will have to wait and see.....Wish me luck please.Site-Mod===== Site-Mod: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Fibromyalgia_Support_Group/If I can't serve as a good example, then I guess I'll just have to serve as a horrible warning.__________________________________________________
Guest guest
, Could you possibly get the chicken pox vaccine now??? I think that might help you not get the chicken pox now... i know how rough it is when you are older, i got it when i was 21 and it nearly killed me. Just a suggestion. Guest guest
Don't know. Since I have already been exposed this time, I might have to wait until we know for sure if I have them or not. I still need to call the doc about the blood test thingy. So I will have to remember to ask that as well.... If I am by some miracle of a chance already immune, than it wouldn't be necessary. But if I am not... I will have to wait and see.... Site-mod --- Kayley555 wrote: > , Could you possibly get the chicken pox > vaccine now???
