My big concern is the infection particularly Staph A, I had that last year with another surgery I had. I nearly died last May (1999) they used Vectomicin (I think that is the correct spelling). They didn't think it was going to stop the infection, it finally did and after I went home it came back on Memorial Day weekend and I couldn't get any help my doctor was not available and the doctor on call would not come to the hospital. My daughter lived in Louisville, KY (2 and 1/2 hrs away) at the time and she called Norton Hospital and they gave her somethings ways to clean the wound and I wen't back to the emergency room a different doctor was on call and she looked at my chart and found they had given me Vectomicin and she put that in my IV's and that broke the infection again.
