Vacation & Poop Connection Update

Wow!

I tried keeping up with all your wonderful posts but it wasn;t easy - but tonight I dat down determined and read all 483 that posted since 8/2/01 - so YEH for us for communicating so much and so well. WE (alone probably) will find our own cures to this horrible and debiliating disorder.

Now, for my update. As we know, whenever we go away, things go a little out of wack and such was the case for me. As a reminder I have been almost completely PAIN FREE for going on 3 months now. This past week, I noticed that I was constipated for 3 1/2 days. By day 2, I already felt the familar burning and so started to find something to remedy the problem, but nothing worked. The burning increased directly with the increased constipation.

Relief just shy of full day 4 (interestingly - it went the other way to an upset stomach) Vulvar pain almost immediately improved. BY day 2 after getting regular, the burning was minimal. the best part, my husband and I were able to have sex together 4 times during our 7 day trip - not bad considering this was the worst that I have felt in almost 3 months.

Please let me know if anyone else has gone from being constipated to regular and if so what effect if any this has had on your vulvar problems.
