Guest guest
Hello all, Hope everyone is feeling ok today. I went to the eye doctor yesterday because my right eye has blood in it, a lot of blood. It looks like something from a horror movie. I called the doctor to see if she should see me because this has happened before and I had iritis and a tear in my cornea. She said to come in. I went in and she looked at my eye from a distance and said that is not the same problem you had before. You have a bleeder. Last time you had Iritis. I said my eye looked just like this. She said well it doesn't say that in the chart. I said well this is what it was like. She said I am not going to argue with you about it. You say it was like this but it is not written in the chart. I said ok. She then went on to explain to me what a bleeder was, etc, etc. I think I probably knew already. She asked me a few more questions. She said well I don't know what to tell you, maybe one of my associates can see you and probably be able to figure out what is wrong. Then she asked if was coughing and am I taking any inhalers for my asthma. I said well I had asthma several years ago but not recently and never took anything. I was confused with the line of questioning and the fact that the fact that my eye had the blood in the last time was not in the chart, I asked her, Do you have the right chart. She then threw me out of her office. Said to get my 5.00 copay back. I said fine and I said hope your day goes better for you and left. She never looked at my eye. So now I have to see another doctor tomorrow. The blood has spread and is now covering almost my entire eye. Last time I had to use prednisone drops and another cortisone eye drop. The condition was serious. When I went out to the office, I asked them if they were going to bill BC/BS. The girl looked at me strange and said the doctor said it was a free visit. I replied, I feel like I am in the twilight zone. What do you think about this. If someone from the front desk was to talk to a patient that way they probably would be fired. However, the doctor's day was not going well, so act like a spoiled child. She basically attacked me when I first walked in to the exam room and I wasn't allowed to defend myself. I was so hurt. I did not want to go back to work because I just wanted to cry. I did cry and I did go back to work. I am crying right now just thinking about this. I am a nice person and I would never do or say anything to hurt someone. I really am confused. My next question if anyone gets this far is could bleeding in the eye be caused from the chiari? The neurosurgeon I saw said it would and that is why I should have surgery ASAP. He says something serious there. MRI just showed the chiari no other abnormal findings. Let me know. 12mm no surgery
