I would also recommend you try the local university or college with a good music program. That's the easiest/cheapest way to find what you need. We would have stayed with it if they hadn't needed more space and bumped us for more of a disability. I think I was paying $20 an hour, which is real good. When she affiliated with the university, though, they told her to adjust her clientele, and she needed kids with more severe problems, so we were bumped. I looked into piano lessons with a pro friend? OMG they were $30 for a half hour! What a racket. If you can get music lessons with someone that can work with your child for a good price, do it. It may be better than Music Therapy. It is very costly though. There is a good center in Madison that does this. I contacted them last month and have been thinking about how I will pay for this since then....still don't really know, but I am hoping my health insurance will cover some as they bill it as OT or ST.
