Re: Bath Every Day

Hi ,

I give na a bath every night. She doesn't have dry skin. She gets her hair washed every night but her body washed only every other day. I wash her hair first and leave the soap in until she's done playing. Does that makes sense? I see no reason why you couldn't just wash his head and skip the rest of the bath, Of course that could be difficult with an active 8.5 month old!

Good luck.

Bath Every Day

Hi-Quin just got his DOC band last week. He's had some problems adjusting because he gets overheated very easily, so his head has been super-stinky. He has dry skin so it's not great to bathe him every day. Does anyone ever just clean their head at night instead of a whole bath? Any pointers? Thanks! (mom to Quin 8.5 mon. Oohh... finally a question I can answer! LOL I asked the same thing... ;-)

My son is prone to eczema so I also did not want to give him a bath every

day.

What I do is wash his hair at the kitchen sink every night (except for bath

night). I bought one of those bath sponges, lie him on that and use the

faucet sprayer to wash his hair. He loves it!

I got my sponge at Target but I've also seen them at Toys R Us.

Hope this helps!

My daughter Jenna has dry skin too. We did not bathe her everyday. I gave her a bath every other day usually. I did wash her hair everyday. I would just lay her on the kitchen counter or my husband would hold her and i would wash her hair. The loreal fruity shampoo helped a lot with the stinky smell. She was banded from 9 to 12 months. Please keep us posted on Quin's correction.

Thanks Cory! That is a good idea. I'm not sure if it'll work given

our kitchen counter set-up, but it's worth a try. Quin has excema

too so I don't want to dry him out too much.

Has had much head irritation from the helmet? We are having

ongoing problems with an itchy forehead.

- We're not much skin problems from the helmet. I put Cetpahil

moisturizing cream on his face twice a day, and put hydrocortisone cream on

any dry spots on his scalp. This seems to work really well.

You could try using the cetaphil/hydrocortisone combo until his skin clears

up. I use both of them on any dry spots I notice.
