Guest guest
Thanks much...I need to look up the high cholesterol myth. My husband's been brain-washed and now that I'm aware of how dangerous statins are, I'm worried about him. wrote: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/10/11/eveningnews/main648685.shtml http://www.vitamincfoundation.org/statinalert/ http://www.thehealthierlife.co.uk/article/3073/statins-side-effects.html Just do a Google search for Statins and side effects. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store (Closing after Xmas!!!) http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
, that's funny that your husband is so committed to his statins. My hubby had a horrible reaction to Lipitor. His muscles were so sore within about 48 hours of his first dose that he couldn't move. He quit taking it, and it resolved right away. That experience about scared him away from doctors and medications in general. He rarely takes any medications anymore and is very distrustful of doctors. Good luck with your hubby. Guest guest
Amy, I almost wish my hubby would have a negative side effect from taking Lipitor. But he doesn't and it does bring down his cholesterol. He has classic signs of thyroid issues. One day maybe he will be willing to do a saliva test. But his beliefs in doctors would like prohibit self treatment. I always laugh when on other message board members are advised to do this and that, discuss this and that with a medical professional. I've been down that road far to many times. That's not saying that I am totally comfortable with self treatment...it's just the only way I am able to keep on living. anewkirk30 wrote: , that's funny that your husband is so committed to his statins. Guest guest
- have him read this. It's in my other post, but I didn't want you to miss it. It's from the Nat'l Institute of Health PubMed. It is VITAL that he get tested for hypothyroidism if there's a possibility that he's hypo and taking statins. Guest guest
Right! I will! And thank you much...my brain doesn't function at all well these days without any thyroid meds. The good news is my HC arrived today. jtb14789 wrote: - have him read this. It's in my other post, but I didn't want you to miss it. It's from the Nat'l Institute of Health PubMed.
