I'm taking an antinflamable (sp) but it doesn't seem to help very much. Does anyone else have this problem, and what have you done with it to get out of the pain? Guest guest Posted November 14, 2004 Report Share Posted November 14, 2004 Norma, I have TMJ hun... i don't have any fast remedies besides not chewing or talking or gritting your teeth... for some time.. i do the Humphry Bogart thing when mine hurts bad which is talk through my teeth... no sucking on straws either that makes things worse also.. forgot to tell you... and if you smoke take small drags.. it helps... then after a couple days it will slowly get a bit better. I only have like Excedrin and Ibuprofen here that is all. Am sure a doctor would prescribe something else.. but that is all i have to use.. hope that helps HUgs you.. been there hun and am recovering now from an hour long dental nightmare... so i sympathize lots.
