Guest guest
you said " Dear , Sorry you've had such a bad time recently I'm running out of suppliments fast. To afford them I've stopped smoking and cut down on other things. I can get another month of Fish oil with 1050 EPA just about and have some Niacin. Are there any foods which are high in the Calcium/Magnesium. Just to remind you I've been off a succession of long term antipsychotics (last being Quetiapine) for 4 months now. Many thanks " Are you a member of or ever heard of S.A.G.B (Schizophrenia Association of Great Britain) This is a charity based in Wales who's patron was the late Dr. Horrobin one of the forerunners into the research of essential fatty acids. If you have a diagnosis of " enduring mental health needs " so thats wider than Schz & includes Bi-Polar etc etc & others ..........then the its worth considering joining (about £10 per year) and taking advantage of their nutri pack which is essentially free for persons in receipt on means tested social security benefits. Another wheeze, especially if you have high Triglycerides, is to ask your GP for the fish oils on prescription. The NHS has approved OMACOR® for this and other related heart problems ..........so though its not YET approved for depression etc a WISE GP can legitamately give OMACOR® for an off list indication. I expect something similar is going to happen with Alpha Lipoic Acid, currently in clinical trials in Belfast for Diabetic Neuropathy, and this is a product I'll endorse from my personal experience. I have no need to buy A.L.A any more its done its job & I'm pleased to further relate that I no longer need to take prescription grade pain killers containing codene. I had expected the pain to return big style with the current cold weather ..........but that does not appear to be the case. Peripherals of my limbs still very cold to touch, my GP remarked on that fact a few days ago, but they are so very much betterin every other respect. I put this down to the nutrients, something even my GP is beginning (grudgingly)to accept. I'm comming from a very low base but i fully expect to recover from this mess too - http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/withdrawal_and_recovery/lst?.dir =/Feet/feet++....+ & .src=gr & .order= & .view=t & .done=http% 3a//briefcase.yahoo.com/
