Guest guest
Hi , You're right, it helps so much to involve the husband or boyfriend in the treatment. I had the problem that my illness went undiagnosed for years and I had to endure every kind of humilliation from doctors. My husband has been very supportive most of the time, except at the very beginnig of our relationship. Despite having lived with another woman, he was clueless in terms of femenine anatomy and sexual response. When I spoke about my pain he would get philosophical and say nonsense like " sexual pleasure has been described as almost painful, so maybe you confuse pleasure with pain " . Anyway, his idiotic phase faded quickly, fortunately. AT the end he believed me and took me many doctors until we found one. He now knows there's something physically wrong and cannot take it personally. He's aware that I have special needs (the special lubricant, the expensive condoms) but he doesn't complain. Guest guest
, I totaly know what you mean about the treatment and humiliation by doctors. I was 18 the first time I brought it up. The doctors response about getting to know myself sexually with mastrubation, seeing a Psychiatrist, and getting a Kama Sutra book was humiliating enough to keep me from mentioning it for 3 more years. She was very patronizing about it. My husband whent through the " idiot phase " too, I think that many men want to feel like they have all the solutions when it comes to sex (no offense Tom...Many, but not all), especialy if they feel they are more experienced.
