pred dosing questions

As usual, I'm still struggling to find the right dose of pred now that I've

decided HC wasn't

strong enough.

I was reading Dr. P's book (The Great Thyroid Scandal, page 190) and he

mentioned that a

pred dose can be from 7.5 to 10. I found that 7.5 worked sometimes but not

always as

did 8.75 so today i took the plunge to 10...so far so good but it's only day

one.

Anyway, Dr. P menitoned that if someone needs to go as high as 10 with pred this

is not a

reflection of the state of the arednals but more likely to do the stomachs

ability to absorb

the pred (page 111). So, if this is the case with me, what about my stomach

might be

reducing my absorption? What can I do to improve absorption? Would this be to

much

yeast in my stomach? (I thought yeast was an intestinal issue)

It would be nice if i didn't need such a high dose. Plus, I'm a bit concerned

because at 1.5

grains 7.5 pred was enough but as my armour increased my pred was less effective

and

I'm only at 2 grains. I hope 10 of pred still works when i hit 3 grains and so

on... I've tried

several times to reach 2 grains but this is always the point where i crash big

time - that

was certainly the case with 35 HC or 7.5 pred.
