Raena, I hope the ear infection get better quickly. BTW, we take down our

decorations on Xmas day after everyone leaves. I am so sick of Xmas by then

and just want my house back that I can't wait any longer.

Hello all,

Just checking in...' Christmas cold has turned into a rather

nasty ear infection, so we are doing the all-nighters, lying around

on top of Mom, cough meds, and antibiotics routine...so much fun.

Only cool thing about it is that my husband asked him yesterday

morning if his ear hurt (I guess something made him suspicious), and

said, " Yuh " and touched his ear. A trip to the doctor

(unreal...) confirmed that he indeed has one of the worst ear

infections he's had in a while.

One thing I have decided...the more sick is, the worse he will

fight at the doctor's office---I guess the thought of having a sore

ear invaded by that otoscope is more than he can deal with. We had

quite a wrestling match getting the exam done. :-( Just when I had

started to think he was not minding the doc so much...oh well.

Raena (taking down the Christmas stuff this afternoon...ready to

be " all done " )

Ear infections are nasty. If you have had one as an adult you know why kids are

so hard to deal with when they have one. Hope feels better soon

Raena, I'm sorry isn't feeling well, and I hope he gets better soon!

With Gabe's recent ear infection I had great success with some homeopathic

earache tablets. They're very safe & there are no drug interactions. Just

something to maybe try next time; maybe you can avoid another dr visit like

that...if you think he has an ear infection, give them a shot; if they help

you were right. :) I know about those dr visits but Mikey's just

2...amazing how strong he is. Does have that super-human-strength?

Man.

What are these called? I would love to avoid another round of

antibiotics...HATE using those too much...but at a certain point,

it's all you can do. :-(

Yup, and he weighs 80 lbs now. I have to schedule the appointments

when my husband can meet us there to help out. Unreal...if that

stops working the next step will be a sedative (and we all know how

well THAT will work...).

Fun, eh?

I know, we're the same way.

There are lots of brands but the box or vial will say " homeopathic earache

remedy. " Hyland's is a good brand & their pamphlet says they are monitored

by the FDA. You'll find Hyland's sometimes at WalMart etc, often around the

teething products. Otherwise hit natural/health food stores. Wild Oats and

Trader Joe's are national chains that would have them.

The homeopathic stuff we've tried for Mikey has not worked well. For Gabe

it's been pretty much all we've needed. Biochemistry...But it's worth a

shot anyway. They are fairly inexpensive, $5-15.

Ugh. Unreal is the word...

Huggles you lots ;)

Hey I was losing my hair to but I have stopped my hair loss, I bought some inexpensive hair products to help me. you wouldn't believe how this shampoo makes your hair feel even after the first try. I am 28 years old and I am the only one in my family to lose my hair and I know its because of the fms. But I thank my lucky stars that i've stopped it in its stracks.1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone.

Hi Casey

Thanks for your response. I am using Praire Naturals 369 as my Omega

3, 6, 9'.s supplements, and have only been doing it for a short while,

so will give it a couple of months to see if I feel any

better....anywhere...LOL

Yes, I definately plan to stop the smoking, I have only a few left in

my pack, and I am holding on to them like they were my life saver

instead of my demise. I live out in the country, and have told my

husband to not bring me home anymore. He doesn't smoke, so ok there.

So I expect by tomorrow morning I will be out of cigarettes and on the

patch. Thats my plan in any event.

Twenty five years is a long time to be on the medications, and yes I

realize things won't improve for me overnight. I have come so far,

when I think about where I was one year ago. I truly wanted to die I

was so sick in withdrawal. I never thought I would improve and get

through it but I did. Now I am left with the fatigue from not

sleeping, and the brainfog.

I forgot to mention that I have Celiac Disease and have to be so

careful what I ingest. Celiac Disease is an allergy to all grains, so

no wheat, rye, barly, oats, bran, etc. for me.

I am also in the throws of menopause and just recently put on .625

Premarin, I have been on about a month now, and have experienced

considerable relief from the hot flashes and night sweats.

But this sleep issue is getting the best of me.

Thanks Casey,

Love to you

Deborah

** That's not the answer. It's been too long. Your brqain will

not adjust to them.

Tell what you're doing to help yourself.
