Guest guest
Hi, I was just wondergin if you have discharge, I did and had a cervical infection, then went in and stil had the itching and burnign and the culture came back negative. Burning often means you have vulvar vestibulitis. My doc has me taking 2 diflucan a day. and 1/2 applicator of aci-jel 2 times a week. I started the mini progestin pill yesterday. I feel better already after only 2 weeks of this treatment. I see Dr. in Phoenix. susan
Guest guest
I am so sorry to hear you are having the discomfort. We all can sympathise. There are so many things that could be causing your itching, from Candida (yeast) or food allergy, nerve or muscle problems to hormonal imbalances. I would suggest if you want to help yourself while you find a good vulvar care specialist (you'll most likely need one, regular obgyns are not trained to treat this) I would suggest an elimination diet, which could find food allergies/intolerances. It is a safe way for you to determine if food allergy/intolerance is causing your discomfort. That is what my VV comes from primarily. For 1-3 weeks eliminate the foods you eat most frequently, for americans that's wheat, corn, eggs, diary and possibly rice and soy. I know it sounds hard but there are plenty of meats and veggie dishes you can eat. Then if you start feeling better start each of these foods one by one and look out for any reaction. Good luck, let us know how you are doing, > I have been suffering from Itiching for more than 8 months. > I went to PCP to GYN. > > I used boric acid suppositories, cleocin but no improvement. > > The itchy is in the night . Guest guest
Hi, Have you tried calundula cream or (don't laugh!) Vicks vapo rub for the itch? These things were pre guai my life savers when I got raw or burned and itched. I didn't have any problems with yeast or bacteria but if this helps you until you find something to help with that problem why not??? Blessings, Shirley. > I have been suffering from Itiching for more than 8 months. > I went to PCP to GYN. > > I used boric acid suppositories, cleocin but no improvement. > > The itchy is in the night . Guest guest
Hi Chandrapriyanka, I just wanted to let you know I understand how you feel - forgetting what a normal life is like. As for the overgrowth of bacteria, my doctor gave me Zithromax - he said there was a little bit of excess bacteria but he did not see that after the Zithromax. I don't have any infections right now although I am getting discharge from my cervix. What I am left with is just burning pain. Also, definitely contact a vulvar pain specialist - I went to 4 gynecologists before I got a correct diagnosis. I am hoping that everything will work out for you. Please take care.
