Guest guest Posted January 14, 2004 Report Share Posted January 14, 2004 i have been lurking since the incident in nov but i havent forgotten ya i still read the post anyhow i am sorry for the ones that think i am nuts but anyhow corbyn is going for his casting later this month we saw the cranial dr, dr colyer and he suggested last week that since corbyn is worsening and still not sitting up that its best to go ahead with a band he said if it ws his son he would anyhow i asked about the starband and he said he didnt think it was as good a product but that it was better than no band and gave us a script for it, but i do think we will go with the doc bandi have seen soo many bad fitted starbands, angie did you have any problems with getting the starband to fit properly and why do they have so many that seem poorly fitted and i havent seen any bad fit doc bands is it just that they dont post them or that they fix them faster? thanks for any info Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hi Anne, Your rheumy can only give you a suggestion. You can say no to it and request other medication. I do that with my rheumy all the time. I research everything before going and getting advice on this board helps a great deal as well. The doctors can suggest things but hearing from people like we do here helps. It is sometime very easy to fall into thinking that the doctor is the only one with a say. If you want to try MTX or Enbrel, say so. And thoroughly discuss it with your doctor. Also if the doctor wants you to try something that you don't want to try, say so. I believe the interaction and conversation between you and your dr is the best way to get a " custom tailored " treatment plan.
