hi all,

I don't mean to be unindating you guys, sorry, but this is another comment on Estrogen and the skin. by the way in some of the research I did a while ago, it was suggested that HLA (hyaluronic Acid) *see below* was lacking in those with Lichen Sclerosus.

This full article is about DHEA and Melatonin and the skin . I just thought this 'blurb' was interesting taken from it. (From the Life Extension foundation.) The facts it states are true from all I've ever seen. Also for those a little leery of hormones maybe this would be a good source (the DHEA) for your hormones instead, just a thought .

"Estrogen's skin-enhancing effects are well-known. It provokes collagen and a moisture factor known as hyaluronic acid. Aging decreases both estrogen and collagen. Enzymes that convert DHEA to estrogen also decline. Not surprisingly, women who take synthetic estrogen have scientifically proven thicker skin. Women who take both estrogen and testosterone have really thick skin-48% thicker than women who don't take either hormone. DHEA is converted to both estrogen and testosterone, providing the benefits of both hormones." (from the Life Extension Foundation)
