Guest guest
Gail: Now that is a new one..A MentalBreak down.. and he calls him self a dr.. What I would like to know is why he wanted to know if you was sexual asaulted or abused? I can only guess because of things I have read. Most Doctore think that only people who have had a traumatic expirience is the only ones who actualy get Fibro.. and that is just not true. So sorry you had to be put through that.. he sounds like a eal quack.. Gentle Caring Hug's Marie pretty_n_cute2002@... messanger same name'smarieava@...my_blue_eyes67@... Guest guest
Me too.. I think they should come right out and say.. before you go in and get examined and have to pay the bill, whether they believe that FMS is actually a disease and not a "Mental thing" Cause it is just a waste of our money and time. Huggles you lots Sophia -- Re: My Neurologist Says Ive Had a Mental Breakdown! LOL Gail: Now that is a new one..A MentalBreak down.. and he calls him self a dr.. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Hi Gail, This takes the cake! Oh MG, I'm fuming now! If this so called doctor had to deal with the ongoing pain and how it seeps into every aspect of our lives, he'd have a mental breakdown too! And just in case that wasn't enough...let me add in a little, loss of employment, loss of income, no sleep, etc. etc. With all the studies that have been documented it amazes me that a professional could still believe that it's "all in your head." I would send him some of the findings on brain scans and the like. I went into a blind study pain clinic some time ago. It was a horrible experience. I had a PT therapist who was very inappropriate with me and triggered some repressed sexual abuse. When I went to the directors and told them what had happened, they informed me that a percentage of chronic back pain patients were sexually abused. Now tell me how is that supposed to remedy the situation, and so what!! I was so angry I called my husband and told him to come and get me. I walked out of the hospital and waited there for 2 hours for him to drive down to get me. I wouldn't even go back into my room to get my things. The nurses and doctors and therapists were coming out trying to get me to stay in the program. I was messing up their clinical trials you see. What an experience.
