Guest guest
Hey Everyone! here, from Florida. Just a reminder - I am the one with the "poop=connection" as I like to call it. After 7 years of vulvar pain - with some relief following a perinealplasty, but still significant enough burning. I am now no longer constipated and have had NO pain or burning for over 2 months (CONTINUALLY!!!!!) The only burn I felt was after a trip away where I forgot my prunes and became a little constipated again. In fact, if I don't "go" everyday I can notice a slight irritation developing and know I need to eat more fibre. I also have been rinsing after going to the bathroom to reduce the acidic feel from urine. Ladies, I don't know if this can help you, but I would STRONGLY suggest that unless you are regular (at least once daily) that you try something, anything to get regular. Try it for a month and see if there is any change. Keep a calendar if necessary. How amazing would it be if this very simple problem was creating our much more serious VV problems! This is not medically motivated although I did speak with my Doc who see tons of women with our type of problem and I asked how many were constipated - she told me 90 percent or higher. For those who expressed an interest in a study - we will be getting information out within another month or so - meantime, any one interested in trying - please keep us or at least me informed. I in no way mean to belittle the hundreds of other methods of trying to treat VV but how can you not affford to try this. Also, I have found that as I am now able to have regular sex with my husband, it is not only more enjoyable, but better each time - I guess the muscles are coming back Tom!
