Guest guest
Jenn, I've only been on the plagio circuit for about a year but I have not heard of regression post-band. I'm sure it could happen, just haven't heard of it here. My daughter didn't regress. Remember, Carson is more mobile now, he moves in his sleep, and his tort sounds to be doing much better so he has a wonderful chance of of post band rounding or the worst case scenerio staying as it is when he is finished. I hope that helps you. He'll be ok, trust me!! Guest guest
Oh Jenn, I know how you feel, but I wouldn't worry. I am sure he'll be fine. Regression is very rare. Like you, I was so scared to take the helmet off of Makenna. I thought for sure her head would go right back to the way it was, especially since she still favored her right side, but she has been out of it now for over 4 months and she hasn't had any regression. How old is your son again? I can't remember. --- In Plagiocephaly , " brad9596 " <brad9596@y...> wrote: > They said today that Carson may be out of his helmet at the end of > January if he keeps growing like this (they want him down to 0.5 and > he is at 0.7 now). Guest guest
Hi Jenn, I worried about regression also, because my son Jake still had a slight head tilt when he was finished with his band at 10months of age. He is 18mo. now and we didn't have any problems. I did sometimes adjust his sleeping position at first, if I noticed him sleeping on the flat spot. But once he started sleeping on his stomach - I obsessed a little less. Just keep doing the exercises, tort can take a while to correct. It is normal to notice the tilt more when they're tired. Ask your PT about strengthening exercises for neck muscles on the opposite side of the tilt - that should help. We also noticed the tilt more when Jake reached certain milestones, like crawling and walking, this is also normal. Good Luck and Have a Happy New Year! mom to Jake(DOC band grad 2003) and Tyler 4yrs. --- In Plagiocephaly , " brad9596 " <brad9596@y...> wrote: > They said today that Carson may be out of his helmet at the end of > January if he keeps growing like this (they want him down to 0.5 and > he is at 0.7 now).
