Guest guest
I have a part-time gig with Friendly Taxi in Flagstaff, the biggest fish in a tiny taxi pond. Only ten taxis at full strength but the largest fleet in this city of 62,000. I have never worked in a cab company where the drivers take turn dispatching from in the cabs but that is the case here. It is hard enough driving without writing addresses, answering the phone via the radio and assigning calls. Fortunately, I haven't had to do it more than a half hour at a time so far and the other drivers are very patient with me. Good thing as when it comes to juggling anything, one is my limit!! The other nice feature is that the total business is small enough that all of the drivers seem to know all of the regular customers and treat them well. We got a lot of pre-paid medical trips and it is nice to see those people get good service. The good news is that the summer here is really busy for us. I have been all over northern Arizona; Grand Canyon, Phoenix Airport and places even further away, logging up to 500 miles in a twelve hour shift.
