Guest guest
Anne, I have had headaches for over 2 years and finally, finally, finally, I have found out why. For me it has been low blood pressure, dehydration and low blood volume. I am now taking licorice root powder and haven't had a headache in 5 days!!! That is unheard of for me. I am in stage 7 of adrenal fatigue and this is very normal. Just took me forever to figure it out and get the right treatment. If you have heart palpitations and drink lots of water and pee it all our just as fast, there is a good chance you have the same problem. Just a few days ago there were some posts on licorice so you may want to go back and read those. I posted the site where I get my powder. If you can't find it then email me directly. Good luck! a in North Idaho > > Quick question, y'all... > Are headaches (throbbing in the temples) usually associated with too > little armour or with the hypoglycemia that sometimes comes with > adrenal fatigue? > > Or maybe it's the weather? Guest guest
That is awesome, a real Victory! How does the licorice root feel in terms of adrenal support, does it give you energy thanks.... > > > Anne, > > I have had headaches for over 2 years and finally, > > finally, finally, I > > have found out why. Guest guest
I think you need to be pretty careful with the licorice root powder. It can raise your blood pressure and it is suppose to balance out the sodium/potassium in your body. Being in stage 7 I clearly have a need for this but I also clearly have very, very low blood pressure. I think with a combo of the low blood pressure, out of balance sodium/potassium levels and constant dehydration this product is perfect for me. It is suppose to help increase your blood volume and help heart palpitations. My palpitations are a ton better. Just not hearing my heart flop around in my chest has advantages. I read often times that many of you have high blood pressure. This isn't something that should be used if you have high blood pressure. It has helped me in a huge way just not having a constant headache. That grows so old so fast. I didn't even realize how much better I would feel without the headache. I have just lived with it for so long. I still have to drink about a gallon of water a day. I take about 3/4 of a teaspoon of sea salt and I take Florinef. I am still dehydrated. For those of you who don't know what Florinef is, it helps you retain sodium. In a nut shell, I am taking just about everything I can take to keep myself hydrated. My mom was here for a week and I tried to explain to here what was going on. She said " you really should tell your doctor about this " . I must go to the bathroom 25 times a day. She said I had a real problem. Yep...Well, I have and I am taking everything that I know about to fix it. It is just slow. The licorice root is helping. Today I finally took the full 1 cup so I will keep you posted on how it goes. My only advise, to all of you, is to take care of yourselves and don't get to stage 7. I highly recommend the first book on this web page. It is all about adrenal fatigue. Don't let the title fool you because it is about chronic fatigue syndrome. http://www.guidance.org/store/health_books.html The other book I bought is called Mastering Your Life and it is about 3/4 of the way down the page. This one goes through all of the 8 stages of adrenal fatigue. These two books have been amazing in my slow but steady way up and out of being so darn sick. That and this group and starting off with Armour and getting off the Sickthryoid. a in North Idaho > > > > > Anne, > > > I have had headaches for over 2 years and finally, > > > finally, finally, I > > > have found out why. Guest guest
I would agree. I had been taking it, then my BP went up, so I went off. Then as I got worse recently, I started having low BP episodes, so I started the licroice again. But my BP was pretty high again, so I'm not going to continue. > > I think you need to be pretty careful with the licorice root powder. > It can raise your blood pressure
Guest guest
a, Thanks so much for the licorice advice! I certainly do have very low blood pressure, although in the last week I added a substantial amount of salt to my diet and it seems to have helped a lot. I also added it to my water, just as you mentioned. I also have low sodium and high potassium blood levels, plus I've been getting dehydrated. So I will certainly check out the licorice. I am not on Florinef, but I bet I could be! I'm using Isocort to help replace the cortisol. I have a question about the books you mentioned at http://www.guidance.org/store/health_books.html . I just happened to be online this weekend looking at them. Could you tell us more? If I could only afford one of the books, which one should I get and why? Do they repeat much of the info on his website, because I've been thoroughly reading through everything he offers there. I was stage 5 about a month ago, but I think I got worse since then. I do think I'm finally learning what I need to do to improve, though. I can finally see a light at the end of this tunnel! :-) Thanks ~Anne
Guest guest
Anne, (sorry it took so long for me to reply, I couldn't get on the net all day yesterday and most of today) I would probably order the chronic fatigue book first. If you feel you have a good understanding of the stages of adrenal fatigue and what you are experiencing then I would suggest the second book. It really goes into depth about how to truly heal yourself. How to make life changes to get well. In one of the books (can't remember which one) it talks about how you can quickly go from stage 5 to stage 7 in a blink of an eye. That could have been what happened with you. I honestly believe that is what happened to me. I had a very stressful event and can tell you the time and day I hit stage 7. Honestly, stage 7 is a lot better place to be than the other stages. I had years of so much trouble with anxiety and depression that I don't want to go there again. In the first book he talks about how this is all very normal in certain stages, especially stage 3. I can't tell you how freeing that information was for me. All these years I thought I was a crazy, depressed, dog tired looser. It is just the stages and so simply explained in these books. If you can do anything to afford both of these books I would tell you to do it. It could really make the difference in your healing. It has for me. a in North Idaho > > a, > Thanks so much for the licorice advice! Guest guest
Could you please list the title or links for the 2 books, rather than going thru the posts thx. > > > > a, > > Thanks so much for the licorice advice!
