When i clicked on the link i didn't see any picture. I don't know

if i did something wrong. Before even looking at the pictures, the

decision to see the neurosurgeon has to be something you can be

happy with. If you think you will look back and wonder what if i

had gone then i say go. That's the question i asked myself when

deciding to band Jenna. I n my case i knew i would always wonder

what if.

I know it has to be very hard without much support from the medical

community.

Ali, I couldn't get the link to work, but was able to see him in the

album section. Conner is such a cutie pie! Deciding what is best

for you and Conner would be out of line. This is your decision and

if you feel that going to the neuro will give you some sort of

closure then go for it!!! Good Luck in your decision.

Hello,

If I were you, I would go to see the neurosurgeon, but I would also

plan to get as much information as possible about Connor's headshape

from lots of other sources as well. Understanding the plagio shape can

be difficult since the head is such a complex shape. Understanding

how and from whom to get treatment is also very complex and confusing.

Some doctor's consider it to be a " real " problem that needs treatment

and others don't.

We saw a neurosurgeon for my daughter's plagio, but it was not until

we went to a cranio-facial center and saw a plastic surgeon that the

discussion started making sense to me. Everyone's experience seems to

be different.

I would recommend posting another picture of Connor where the shape

you are worried about can more easily be seen (perhaps taken from the

top down in the bath (with wet hair) to this site to get other parents

input). In addition, I'd look into visiting one or more orthotists who

make helmets to treat plagio to have them take a look. Cranial

Technolgies does free evaluations. I'd say its even worth traveling to

have them do an evaluation. And, I'd check into seeing a cranial

facial specialist as well. The thing is - there is such a small

window of opportunity (optimally during the first year) to correct the

shape that it requires fast action to get all the information you need

to understand what to do before its too late.

Best Wishes,

(mom to , plagio and tort mostly resolved).

Ali -

Connor is so cute!! (I couldn't view from the link, just went to the

photo section). As far as taking him to a neuro, I also think that if

YOU think you will look back and wonder what if I took him... then by

all means, take him now while it will do some good! I couldn't really

tell from the pictures you have posted and agree that maybe try and

get one from different angles.

To be honest, I didn't think I needed to take Jaxson either, I knew

his head was flat but figured that it would round out after his neck

started to move easier - I also figured that the bossing would

correct itself. Well, I took him in and found out that his plagio is

quite severe, one of the worst the doc had seen. So, I'm VERY happy

that we did go, I am seeing correction finally and his bossing looks

sooo much better after a month in the helmet.

I say go ahead and go to the neuro - if you don't go, will you

regret it?
