Hi :

It's good to hear from you! Well I'm happy the casting is done &

over with, that's the most difficult part of the process. I hope

Ellen didn't scream tooooo much :)

Abby never had any measurements taken either. Some do, some don't.

They just " eyeballed " Abby to say she was mod/severe in shape. If

you'd like having them done, don't hesitate to ask.

Sounds like you had stressful holidays. Hope the girls are fully

healthy again.

Let us know when her band is in.

Hi ,

How great that the casting is behind you! I also used the Clinton

CT and Lynne does not regularly do measurements, but she will if you

ask. They feel meaurements are not as accurate (they can have a

margin of error of up to 5mm) as actually seeing the change from the

headsicle. Under our links section there is a part about severity

assessment you can check out to give your best guesstimate! Lynne

is wonderful and I'm sure Ellen will see great progress. Hannah was

banded at 4.5 mos the first time and had amazing correction. Tell

Lynne hello for us!

Hi ,

We also used the Clinton office for our son's treatment. We saw a specialist in

Boston

and one in New Haven. The one in New Haven just felt 's head and examined

photos we had brought while the one in Boston took measurements. The doc in New

Haven never did tell us the level of severity but the one in Boston gave us both

the

measurements and the level of severity that the measurement indicated. Lynne at

CT

in Clinton didn't do measurements (said they only do them if insurance requires

it)

but we did ask her to assess 's level of severity. From simply feeling his

head she

gave us the exact same diagnosis as the guy in Boston who did the measuring. I

guess when you deal with that many heads you get pretty good at it. You might

want

to ask Lynne what Ellen's level of severity is, I'm sure she can tell you.

Good luck,
