Guest guest
We are having trouble communicating with our ambulances on long distance transports. We are currently using truck mounted 3 watt analog cell phones but these are beginning to fail outside of metropolitan areas. The phone companies are telling me that the old analog systems are being less supported than the new digital systems. The new digital phones are all handheld and only have 1 watt of power. We have tried some and the reception is no better. Has anyone tried any type of satellite communications? We routinely do ground transports 75 to 90 miles away from Fort Worth and need communication with our ambulance in the event of mechanical failure or to connect the team with a physician. Thanks for any help!! Jack Sosebee Teddy Bear Transport Cook Children's Medical Center, Fort Worth jacks@...
