Round and round and round we go....

Yesterday, was utterly charming. He did mazes with me - it was my job to

hold the crayon while he told me where to draw. He HELPED DO THE DISHES. He

ran around the house with a towel draped over his shoulders, flapping it with

his hands, calling himself 'bat boy " .

This morning he put on marc's shoes and clomped around. " I 's daddy, " he

said, " so now I can marry you. " Then he put on his own shoes and said, " I can't

marry you now. " That's okay, I said, now you can marry or or

whoever your girlfriend is today. " But they're so much.....UNDERWEAR HEADS! " he

replied, then fell on the floor giggling.

I'm just waiting for the next insane shift to evil little troll....<sigh>

Just as was once nonverbal and is now a sweet talking wonderchild - - - -

and that annoys you to madness sometimes.................

If you don't have the bad phases once in awhile, how will you ever remember to

appreciate the lovely times like the last two days?

Answer: you won't.

So that is probably the reason they come in spurts. To remind us. And if that

does not work, don't worry - - - I will always remind you, LOL.

and played no computer games, choosing instead to draw pictures, play music, and

hang around with me. We sat looking at the Sears Christmas catalogue, him with

his head on my shoulder all cuddly-like...he ate my fresh-baked gingersnaps and

liked them...(and asked permission every time before he took a cookie...)

But all the time, just under the surface, I'm waiting for the other shoe to

drop...this can't last. It won't last. And just how much will I have to pay

for this interlude of wonder?
