ya know, you do make a good point there, sometimes it helps me to

remember words, or certain phrases, if I write them down..

what I have noticed, is the " act of writing it down " helps me to remember,

even if I throw the paper away after I write it down, for some reason,

taking

the time to write it down, helps me to remember for some reason.

otherwise if I just read, or listen, to it, then it don't want to stick.

is that weird or what?

That's the only way I can learn new vocabulary when I'm learning a

new language. I have to write the words again and again and again.

Also, I write a " to do " list for every day, and sometimes writing

something on the list helps me remember it even if I forget to look

at the list.

I said:

It's not the least bit weird.? Some people have to be really involved with

something (writing or doing) rather than being passive (reading or watching).?

School is designed for passive learning but that is obviously failing.? We need

to be able to address everyone's needs.? Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now.

Efven though I have synesthesia and words (and names0 are in color, so that I

am reminded of them twice when I hear them, I stil like to write thinkgs down to

remember them.
