Guest guest
As an Aspie and a mother of 5, 2 on the spectrum as well! I don't see Autism Speaks as a threat they are doing what our parents did for us...fought for answers, change, research. They are also informing the world of NT'S that we are here to stay but none of the answers as far as what causes it are being answered, our government keeps everything contained and probably knows why but until that happens, the parents are fighting the battles. They are fighting that their children can receive their services under coverage, they are fighting for least restrictive educations, awareness. These are all things I want for my sons so that they can learn about themselves and how to overcome some obstacles so that no one can ever hurt them, exploit them, or institutionalize them when I die. Guest guest
Well sorry, I do not wish to find a cure because I have said before it is not HIV, or Cancer! I read their foundation under wikipedia, and withdraw all support for them. I however support awareness, rights for my children, and every service they need available to them. Guest guest
As do I. I was quite surprised by the organization when I read it in Wikipedia. If it was true to it's name, the organization would allow people on the Autistic Spectrum to speak to others to show that we're people too, people that hold job, have families, lives, and more importantly, are ourselves as well.
