Guest guest
Hi Joan, I'd buy some! I wonder if there is a good size that thermacare pads come in, so that they could be rolled up and put into curled up hands. I may look into that and try it with my Mom. Those Thermacare pads are great - they stay nice and toasty for hours. A big hello from very cold NY, Helene > > > > Hi all, > > I am pondering ideas to make things that persons with LBD can use. Guest guest
That is a good idea. I make the rolls with one in soft cottony material inside and then a thermacare pad could be attached to the roll and then put it back in the outer casing. > > > > > > Hi all, > > > I am pondering ideas to make things that persons with LBD can use. Guest guest
This sounds like a good idea when all the " kinks " are worked out. I know that my husband enjoys these quiet " comfy " things, and I try to have a variety. THE ALZHEIMERS STORE sells a muff, in three configurations which is very interesting. It has a rubber ball, secured inside, so that it may be clutched and squeezed at will. On the outside are three activities: one is a small string of beads; another is a suede pack with a few marbles inside, and the third is a grouping of streamers (colorful ribbons) that can be manipulated......all put onto the muff with buttons. It is quite pricey, but I think can be made for MUCH less. I would suggest this as another member of your offerings, if possible. I think it would be much used. I don't mean to " upstage " your idea, which I think is a good one, but to, perhaps, add to your inventory. Cheers, Marcia
