Guest guest
Hi Ladies, I just thought I would share with you how ironic it was that you posted about the concern of yeast infections. I posted about a week ago about the fact that I had surgery(laporoscopy & D & C)and was on meds because I had an infection in my incision. Anyway I told you that I was having alot of pain in my bladder area but it didn't burn when I urinated so I wasn't certain if it was a UTI. Bottom line is that I when I did go to my doctor for follow-up from my surgery I told him about my symptoms. He sent out a urine culure last Thursday and I found out yesterday that I have a very bad UTI. From what the nurse told me is that when she read the results to my doc he was concerned about how high the numbers are. I am now taking Macrobid so hopefully this will help. I am feeling pretty bad today and am having pain in my back. I almost called out of work sick but decided to come in. I need to go back at the end of next week for another urine culture to be sure there is no more infection. So now I am concerned about a yeast infection so I will be doing the acidophilus route too. Oh and by the way my doc says that this infection was from the cathater but he states it is necessary to use one during a lengthy surgery. He explained that when he performs a lap it is so close to the bladder that they need to be sure that the bladder is completely empty.
