Guest guest
Hi i WAS DIAGNOSED WITH GALLSTONES LAST WEEK. At the time I was diagnosed I had managed to lodge a stone in one of the ducts, but it turned out it wasn't blocking my liver/pancreas. Having been dianosed I did some internet research and came accross the flush as an alternative treatment. That was last Saturday. At the time I was in alot of pain and was expecting to have to go in for an operation. I thought I would give the flush a go before committing to the operation. I did the Epson Slats / Olive Oil / Grapefruit variety. Ican't say it went too well. The Epson salts went down ok (it does taste bad!!!). I then tok the olive oil / grapefruit juice mix as directed. I was only able to hold this down for about an hour. At which point I threw up violently. However, the plus side of this is that it did seem to dislodge whatever stone I had stuck as the following this the intense pain has now subsided. Prior to this the consultant had done a scan and said the gallbladder was inflamed and pescribed me antibiotics in case it was infected. I am continuing with the antibiotics now along with a very low fat diet and the pain is subsiding each day. I saw the consultant again yesterday and relayed my experiences. He wasn't completely dismissive of the flush and suggested that since there was no immediate need to remove the gall bladder that I persue alternative treatments first. My question is now how best to proceed. I figured I would complete my antibiotic course first, rebuild my stregth somewhat. Then do a bowel and parasite cleanse before doing the GB cleanse again. Any thoughts??? Any recommendations as to the best cleanse? I've read that the reason I threw up was due to not doing the other cleanses first, but I am a little concerned about going that route again. I'm also worried that I might get a stone lodged if I do the cleanse and end up being rushed in for an op I don't want. One of the cleanses I read about did not use Epsom salts, just an apple juice fast. I don't understand this because I thought the Epson salts acted as a laxative to relax the bile ducts to allow the stones to pass easilly. Any thoughts / suggestions much appreciated Dave
Guest guest
Hi Dave I'm glad to hear that your pain is subsiding - that is good news. As for the reaction to the oliveoil/grapefruit juice mix I have one thought to offer. Did you lay down immediately after drinking it? The reason I ask is that when I did my first cleanse a couple of years ago I didn't lay down right away and thought I would do a couple of things around the home first. I also got violently ill that time. The next time I did it I brought the mixture into my bedroom and drank it there and laid right down and I didn't get ill with that cleanse or the two that I did recently. SO - just a thought. If you didn't lay down right after drinking the mix that might possibly be why you got so sick. ?? I'm so glad you have someone there who is willing to at least give alternative measures a possibility and I wish you the best of luck with that. --- Simpson <dave@...> wrote: > I then tok the olive oil / grapefruit > juice mix as > directed. Guest guest
Hi Dave, Well, a few thoughts come to mind. One is: did you use organic olive oil? That seems to go down a lot better than non-organic (which I used the first time I did a liver cleanse). Dr. 's liver cleanse has been a little easier to " swallow " each successive time I've done it. Another is: if your pain has subsided, I would try to do the parasite cleanse and kidney cleanse before attempting another liver cleanse. The program I use is a two month program for first time users, but others may be shorter. I don't think you have to worry about getting a stone stuck in the duct during a liver cleanse, if you follow the directions closely, and eat a no-fat breakfast and lunch the day of the cleanse. If that was going to happen, it would have happened to me, I think, because I've passed so many stones(one surely would have gotten stuck if it was going to) and I had exactly that problem before I ever did the first cleanse, and the first cleanse brought immediate relief. The only cleanse I'm familiar with is the epsom one, but hopefully others who have used a different cleanse can shed some light for you. Also, I know the archives have info posted about other cleanses. Lastly, I wouldn't be taking any kind of medication, if at all possible when doing a liver cleanse...this is just my opinion, but then, I'm opposed to medications in general. Adrienne p.s. Both and Susie gave great advice! --- Simpson <dave@...> wrote: > Hi > i WAS DIAGNOSED WITH GALLSTONES LAST WEEK.
