I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. I hope he makes it, and well past

the holidays too.

Are the kids with you?

Well, take care of yourself, your mom, and my prayers are with your grandfather.

God bless him.

Change in Plans

Hi all. I'm up at my folks tonight instead of at home. My

grandfather has been in the hospital but now we are not so sure he

will be coming home. His kidneys started to fail yesterday so when

mom called this morning I came. It is conceivable he might live a

couple more months, but it is also quite possible he may not see

Christmas. He has had a full life and he has made his peace. I

understand that and I am fine with it, better than I think my mom is

doing, but I need to be here to say goodbye and to tell him we love

him. Even if he can not speak he can hear. I hope to be home on

Tuesday and with any luck back on line by the weekend. My time here

will be quite intermittent with traveling to and from the hospital.

Be safe everyone.

I am sorry to hear about your grandpa. The most important thing is what you

have already said, he has made his peace. We usually want our elders to hold

on, but if they start to suffer it just isnt fair.

May you and your grandfather have peace this season.

Keep up your spirit, you are an amazing woman.
