My mother had to play stupid in front of men because

she believed that they would be intimidated if they

thought she was smart. Great lesson to teach your

daughter.

She also has the 'always look good' in front of men

thing, like dressing up to take out the garbage.

Except that she really actually did dress up to talk

out the garbage. She lived in an apartment for years

and always reminded me to look my best in the elevator

because you never knew who you might meet.
