Guest guest
Hi, I don't know anything about your new BC, but, if I may ask, why did you go off the depo? I've been on it for a year and it is great. I love not having periods, b/c tampons hurt too much. Love, Ruth >
Guest guest
, I have not taken Triphasil, but I have been reading Dr. Vliets' book and she says only two birth control pills have the higher estrogen to Progestin ratio that she prefers. She recommends Ovcon-35(lowest progestin) or Modicon or even Brevicon (next lowest amount of progestin). She says these will reduce the side effects from the progestin such as PMS and depression. Marilyn A. New Pills Hi all! I am starting a BC pill called Triphasil on July 12 (the date that I was supposed to get my next depo shot, but decided to go off of it instead). Has anyone ever taken Triphasil? Was it ok? Guest guest
, I have been on Triphasil for about 3 years now. I didn't have any problems on it. Any specific questions you have? Liz
Guest guest
, I was put on Triphasil birth control pills after the first ones prescribed to me were determined to be too low-dose (I was having constant breakthrough bleeding). I've used Triphasil for 11 years and have never had a problem...no headaches, no bloating, no weight gain, nothing but regular, short, pain-free periods (of course, everyone responds differently to these things). Good luck if you decide to use them! Beth Nigro wrote: > Hi all! Guest guest
I am going off the depo due to side effects. While I seem to have lucked out not gaining any weight, I still suffer from headaches, light-headedness, severe lack of libido (not good for a newlywed), and extreme pain during intercourse. The pain is due to lack of lubrication caused by no estrogen. I respond pretty well to estrogen creams, but they are not meant to be used on a permanent basis. I've tried other lubricants, but nothing compares to nature. I, too, love having no period, cramps, etc. but I love being with my husband more. >From: nor_germ@... >Reply-To: VulvarDisorders >To: VulvarDisorders >Subject: Re: New Pills >Date: Fri, 06 Jul 2001 23:56:20 -0000 >MIME-Version: 1.0 >X-Originating-IP: 209.16.16.95 >Received: from [208.50.144.76] by hotmail.com (3.2) with ESMTP id MHotMailBD0F9739002D4004314CD032904C925E222; Fri, 06 Jul 2001 17:06:41 -0700 >Received: from [10.1.4.53] by mk. with NNFMP; 06 Jul 2001 23:56:22 -0000 >Received: (EGP: mail-7_2_0); 6 Jul 2001 23:56:21 -0000 >Received: (qmail 94469 invoked from network); 6 Jul 2001 23:56:21 -0000 >Received: from unknown (10.1.10.26) by l7. with QMQP; 6 Jul 2001 23:56:21 -0000 >Received: from unknown (HELO fl.) Guest guest
Well, I am going off of depo mainly because of severe lack of libido and extreme vaginal dryness (which causes unbearable pain during intercourse, even with the use of lubricants). Have you had any trouble with these? I would hate to drop one nightmare drug just to start another! >From: Liz Buehler >Reply-To: VulvarDisorders >To: VulvarDisorders >Subject: Re: New Pills >Date: Sat, 7 Jul 2001 16:03:33 -0700 (PDT) >MIME-Version: 1.0 >Received: from [216.115.96.51] by hotmail.com (3.2) with ESMTP id MHotMailBD10DFF5000A40043750D87360339B9F173; Sat, 07 Jul 2001 16:04:19 -0700 >Received: from [10.1.4.56] by hh. with NNFMP; 07 Jul 2001 23:03:40 -0000 >Received: (EGP: mail-7_2_0); 7 Jul 2001 23:03:34 -0000 >Received: (qmail 45153 invoked from network); 7 Jul 2001 23:03:34 -0000 >Received: from unknown (10.1.10.27) by l10. with QMQP; 7 Jul 2001 23:03:34 -0000 >Received: from unknown (HELO web14505.mail.yahoo.com) (216.136.224.68) by mta2 with SMTP; 7 Jul 2001 23:03:34 -0000 >Received: from [158.252.12.160] by web14505.mail.yahoo.com via HTTP; Sat, 07 Jul 2001 16:03:33 PDT >From sentto-41050-23009-994547015-lc_nigro Sat, 07 Jul 2001 16:06:00 -0700 >X-eGroups-Return: sentto-41050-23009-994547015-lc_nigro=hotmail.comreturns (DOT) onelist.com >X-Sender: babuehler@... >X-Apparently-To: VulvarDisorders >Message-ID: >In-Reply-To: <000701c10716$e4021060$324f2542@mfields> >Mailing-List: list VulvarDisorders ; contact VulvarDisorders-owner >Delivered-To: mailing list VulvarDisorders >Precedence: bulk >List-Unsubscribe: > >, >I have been on Triphasil for about 3 years now. Guest guest
I believe I took it before. Actually I know I did, and can't really remember why I went off. The main reason I have gone off and on pills for my whole menstrual life is because it doesn't lighten the flow or pain. Hope that helps a little. ~Mindy~ _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com Hi all! Guest guest
, No, I haven't had vaginal dryness due to the Triphasil. I do get dry due to lack of arousal b/c I'm petrified to have sex wondering if it will hurt a little or a lot. If you do get dry sometimes from the Triphasil, I HIGHLY recommend using Almond Oil. It's my favorite! Good luck! Let us know how it goes! liz --- Nigro wrote: Well, I am going off of depo mainly because of severe lack of libido and extreme vaginal dryness (which causes unbearable pain during intercourse, even with the use of lubricants). & nbsp; Have you had any trouble with these? & nbsp; I would hate to drop one nightmare drug just to start another
