Guest guest
This afternoon (well, yesterday afternoon) I called my doctor and he told me to go to the ER right away. As soon as I hung up, my son, , called me to see how I was doing, and I told him what happened. He left work immediately and took me to the ER. I had to wait about 10 minutes for triage, and they immediately took me back to a room ( stayed with me through all this). A nurse installed a shunt in my right hand (the left one is really swollen) and took a few tubes of blood. A few minutes after she left the doctor came in and examined me and said she wanted a CAT scan. I've never gotten such fast service in an ER ever in my life! They put me in a wheelchair and took me to Xray my left hand, then took me for my CAT scan. It didn't take long to get the results back. There's no permanent damage to my eye, the vision should come back soon. Both my eyes are swollen, I look like I was the loser in a fight. Dave went home for a while, but told the nurse to call him if anything happened. He also said he'd pick me up. The doctor also told me I have a sinus infection that's old, and goes deep into my brain. I didn't think the sinuses went into the brain, unless it's draining into my brain. She said that could be why I'm falling so much and passing out. I got a big shot of antibiotics and a prescription for Augmentin, which I guess is an Antibiotic. (oh boy, here comes a yeast infection). And, I do seem to be getting my vision back. She also wants me to see an ophthalmologist. She said today, but I don't have the transportation or money to see another doctor. Well, I'm really sleepy now, so I think I'll go lay down! I still have a lot of email to read, but it'll have to wait.... cyn clmerritt@... site mod for Neo-Slither site mod for Humourists site mod for List-Helper site mod for HerpChat site mod for Herp-Photography site mod for Fibromyalgia_Support_Group owner & mod for Creamsicle owner & mod for HerpMods
Guest guest
Well thank heavens for sons! I am glad he was so good. I hope all the tests turn out well and that they may do something to stop you falling and passing out. Its good that you seem to be getting some sight back. Eyes are too precious not to care for them. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
I found eating a whole lot of yogurt helps combat the yeast infections. I eat at least 1 or 2 6 oz. containers a day. Not only does it help fight them but it also helps combat my constant nausea. At least something feels better! Guest guest
This Augmentin has turned my insides to liquid. I don't even want to eat. But I've developed a really strong craving for coffee....after 33 years of not drinking it, I've been drinking it every day for the last week. My husband has this thing that you heat milk in and foam it up, and I use that to put foam on my coffee & sprinkle it with nutmeg (I couldn't find the cinnamon). My husband tasted it, and now he asks me to make it a couple of times a night, lol! cyn At 04:14 PM 11/1/2004 -0500, ~ElfynFyre~ wrote: Yup..that is an antibiotic and a strong one to..its what they gave me for a horrible sinus infection I had about 2 years ago and it really cleared it up great...but I did get my very first yeast infection...ugghhh... clmerritt@... yahoo im id cynmerritt site mod for Neo-Slither site mod for Humourists site mod for List-Helper site mod for HerpChat site mod for Herp-Photography site mod for Fibromyalgia_Support_Group site mod for FSGMODS owner & mod for Creamsicle owner & mod for HerpMods
