Guest guest
I said I'd let you know if Aubrie's tearing problem improved after the stents were removed. Well... she seems 100% better! It's only been 2 weeks since surgery. She's had virtually no tearing from either eye in over a week. In one eye she has some crusting in the corner in the morning. Very very little... I hesitate to even mention it, but it is there. The green nasal secretions that we fought with Augmentin for months seems to have been caused by the stents. The ENT thought that it was possibly a CHARGE-thing that was just beginning to show itself by coincidence at the same time as the stents were placed. So I've been holding my breath to see if it would recur when the stents were removed and the Augmentin stopped. But she's fine!! Aubrie will have her first experience with the ocean this weekend when we go see Grandma in Hilton Head for Easter. I am very curious to see what her reaction will be... wind, sun, and water are her very least favorite things :-) Michele W mom to Aubrie (28 mos) CHaRgE and (8 yrs), wife to DJ, in IL west@... Guest guest
Michele, That is great news about Aubrie's tears... Hopefully things will continue down the 100% better road. Kennedy is starting to come around now after her last c. atresia surgery as well. She took a long time to recover this time, lot of blood post op, etc. She breathed through her nose all night last night. It was so foreign to me to see her mouth all shut up like that. She looked like a little chubby cherub, I could've watched her breathe for hours. It's so amazing how little we take for granted now eh? Good luck with the ocean visit, Kennedy also hates the wind & sun (loves the water tho) but we keep taking her out and she has gotten a lot better lately. Does Aubrie have sunglasses? Maybe that would help...Kennedy loves her "outside" glasses, they are prescription too so she really loves them. It makes the world outside a lot more tolerable for her. I hope you have a nice vacation & a nice Easter...
