I would guess low adrenal reserves but Val can advise you better.

-- Has this happened to you when exercising?

I was exercising this morning (a 1/2 hour Sansone tape) and got

almost to the end and started getting nauseous. I finally had to sit

down for a few minutes before I could continue. I've never in my life

had that happen. Is that a hypo or adenal symptom?

I'm interested to see what responsed you get to this because I'm hypo/adrenal

and a couple of times I became lightheaded and dizzy once but not nauseous

during a cardio workout.

Purely adrenal and why we tell you to go easy on exercise. It really takes alot

of extra cortisol to exercise.

Wow, I guess I will order isocort and give that a trial run. If you

remember in some of my other posts, I'm in NY and my doc won't run

tests and it's against the law to do mailorder testing so I was

having a hard time knowing if my adrenals were fatigued or not. You

had said my temps indicate more hypo with a litte fatigue but I did

do the eye test and there was some (not major) fluttering going on.

I think a trial with isocort will at least tell me if Im suffering or

not. I never had such problems with exercising...I used to do those

tapes and think they were too easy! Last year my husband and I did

some extreme exercise daily trying to get land cleared, etc. and as I

was doing I kept telling everyone who would listen " I can't do this

much more, it's killing me " and I meant it literally, everyone would

giggle but now I know, it really was killing me. I felt like

it " ruined " me and I'll never be back to the real me. Maybe

isocort/hc will help that.

I'd say it might be more related to your blood sugar level at that point in

time. Perhaps you had inadvertently used up what energy you had circulating and

for " sluggish metabolic " reasons you couldn't convert the energy out of your

cells fast enough. Hence, the nauseous feeling. I have known this to happen to

me and others.

Try to make sure you have some healthy carbs an hour or two prior to exercising,

along with some good fats. That should help. (oh and plenty of water!)

Good luck !

best,

Adria

That certainly could be too, I hadn't eaten yet when I exercised but

have done it many other times without this symptom. Ugh!

Adria, I'm so glad to have found someone that knows where I'm coming

from! While doing all the physical stuff I was also the " general

contractor " and doing all the phone work during the day in between my

regular job and the work around the new house. I had never in my

life felt such stress and I hope I never do again. At one point it

was so pent up that someone said one wrong thing to me and I went

wild with a hammer. I completely demolished a piece of heavy foam we

were installing in the cellar (to go under the concrete floor). When

I say went wild, I mean it...I was crying and beating that piece of

foam wishing it were a person. I'm positive I put my adrenals thru

something they've never experienced and they couldn't recover. I was

sure I would look great after all this work but guess what, I

gained! That's what made me start to get testing for thyroid. I

knew there was no way I could gain weight with all I did. I'm

definately going to order the isocort and at least try it. Thanks

for your insight!

perhaps? I just read your story about clearing the land. Something

similar happened to me last year. We had moved to a new farm and I

was the one that did most of the miles of fencing we needed done. I

looked really fit by the end, but between that and the stress over

carrying two mortgages, two prop taxes etc. it did me in. By

February I was gaining weight around the middle and beginning other

problems. If I hadn't found this and the NTH groups I'd be flat out

by now I'm sure!

>>I haven't tried sea salt<<

Everyone with weak adrenals should be using sea salt. Adrenals run on salt and

sea salt has the perfect blend of trace mineral s that our bodies need. I use

Celtic but ANY unrefined sea salt will do. I put 1/2 tsp in orange juice ( the

sugar in the juice helps it absorb) in the morning and at night. Read the

benefits here
