Guest guest
What kind of principal thinks a parent can " guarantee " a child's behavior. Doesn't he know all kids go thru biting phases? Tuna --- " Janae E. van De Kerk " wrote: Cinnamon, I don't know what the principal was thinking. I can never guarentee anything about Jake. Also, I'd fight a suspension tooth and nail. They can't suspend a kid for an action caused by his disability. I'd argue that that was what it was, inappropriate play stemming from poor social and play skills caused by his autism. Luckily, the teacher is very willing to work with me and Jake. She's a lot more reasonable than the principal. You could tell him " This is the only way I could guarantee he wouldn't bite again. Is this suitable? " Although, somehow, I don't think the principal would see the humor in it! And truly, I am NOT serious about the above!!
