Guest guest
I know we have had this question before but....... How many of you have given up driving? Today, I was driving to work. I was going to stop at Walgreens to get something to drink. All the sudden, I'm looking and realize that I have passed it by 5 blocks. I had no memory of driving the.... oh...... last 10 blocks........This can't be safe? Guest guest
Alenna, I have been driving home, about a 15 minute drive and the next thing I knew I was home, but I couldn't remember anything inbetween. I don't drive now only because I don't fit behind the wheel. Big Norma -- Driving I know we have had this question before but....... How many of you have given up driving? Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
I would have to agree that is not a good thing. I will kind of go into a trance once in awhile myself, So I know how you feel. What scares me more though is when my leg begins to shake while on the brake or my entire leg and hip just starts to throb.. However, I need to be able to drive or I would never get to the mountain of doctor appointments. Anyway, keep an eye out and if it gets any worse please get it checked out. Guest guest
I still drive as I always have. Mind you, on long trips I need to take more frequent breaks to stretch and walk around a bit. As for having those blank moments where you arrive to your destination and don't remember the trip... I've had those quite often and I don't think they are FM related as gets those too. In fact... many times we've taken the wrong exit on the highway and says... " Ooops... I was on auto-pilot and started heading to work " . When you do a regular route and you know it well... it's easy to forget and phase out. In fact I've even missed my own street on occasion. I still honestly believe it's not FM related as I know so many " normal " people that do it too. gentle loving hugs, Norah Norah Bleazard - Burlington, Ontario Canada www.bleazard.net ~ www.janorlites.com E-MAIL= norah.fibroyahoo@... Guest guest
I do very minimal driving...I'm just not as comfortable as I used to be. I'm pretty okay with back roads or on the highway but city driving kind of trips me out anymore... :c( April in SC ~ ElfynFyreGroup ModeratorMSN Messenger:jackfults@... (add only)elfynfyre@... Guest guest
Driving is my freedom I don't think I could give it up. My Mom hardly ever drives. Its weird how differently we react to the same problems. Kate On Mon, 1 Nov 2004 15:41:13 -0500 "~ElfynFyre~" writes: I do very minimal driving...I'm just not as comfortable as I used to be.
