Guest guest
Hi Pam, Creek is between Madison and Milwaukee, about 30 minutes past Madison. There is a great outlet mall there and it is right next to the Interstate 94. You will see signs for it. I always stop there on my way through. --- RSand66893@... wrote: > , > > Where is Creek Mall? Guest guest
Pam, I sometimes do have just the burning and no redness, but what I have found is that the burning is sometimes the result of the nerve pain that I have. Right now I'm in the middle of trying to find out what happened with the surgery that I had in 1997 on my vulvar area. That's why I'm getting the op report as I told . I will let you know what I find out. ===== Kristy http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Owner: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Endo_Vulvodynia_PCOS http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Zoladexforendometriosis __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Pam, I haven't noticed any redness. If there is it's very minimal. I guess it may depend on each of our differences. chelle __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Pam - That is exactly what I have. Sometimes, after sex, I get somewhat inflamed and there have been times when I have small little papercuts on the inner vaginal lips. But, most of the time, everything looks normal. I see a specialist next month and that is what I am basically living for regarding this condition. I'm thinking it is probably yeast or one gyn said it is the vestibular glands, but I'm not really sure if she is right. I have also been having lots of urinary problems. It seems everytime I have sex, I either get a UTI or UTI-like symptoms. In fact, I am thinking about calling the doc again today for a urine test. I just got done with a round of antibiotics for one a couple weeks ago. I am stubborn though - don't want to give up sex because of this. I will be going in for a scope on the 22nd at my urologists. Maybe they can figure something out from that. Amber --- RSand66893@... wrote: > Hi Everyone, > > Just a question do any of you have the vulva burning > without actually having vulva redness? Guest guest
Kristy, My burning started after rectal surgery. First it was rectal burning and then vulva and now it also burns down my inner thighs. My burning is constant and the doctors do think it is probably nerve damage. I wonder if there ever will be relief from the pain and hope of ever getting rid of it? Pam

Guest guest
Amber, I use to have the burning after sex and now it hurts to much deep within to even attempt it. I also have been having the urinary problems and am now seeing a uroligist. I have been scoped and all he said is that my urethra is red and inflamed. As for now he started me on bio-feed back and I have been told my muscles are to tight. Well, wouldn't they be tight from the constant pain I am in? That's what I figure any way! I guess the next step is a series of test that the urologist will be doing on July 31st and then a consultation for neuro-stimula- tion surgery but have decided before I do that I am going to get another opinion from Chrsitina and s doctor, Dr. on. I have been in pain so long with this that I have decided that I'm not rushing into surgery until I feel comfortable with my diagnosis. So far every doctor I have seen has a different outlook on this problem and besides being frustrating it is so confusing. Sorry If I vented to much I had another injection today with no postive results so I am a little crabby I guess. Sorry! Take care, Pam

Guest guest
Hi Pam - This is what I am kind of worried about - although I'm trying so hard to keep positive. I believe all the stuff Tom says about the mind playing an important part in keeping our health - not only these problems, but all others. I definitely believe that if we focus on this problem too much, we are giving it the energy it needs to keep going strong. Anyway, at a point in time in the future, I intend to get into that concept more. What I do wonder about though is if this condition does worsen over time for the women here??? I wonder if my ability to still enjoy sex (even though I have problems afterwards many times) will diminish over time, meaning will the burning become more intense as time goes on? Or will it just stay the same and be something I have to live with? I LOVE SEX! And this just drives me nuts - mostly because of that. It seems I can deal with the irritation most the time, and the not wearing jeans and the using cloth menstrual pads and having underwear and pads hanging around the bathroom all the time, eating yogurt everyday, taking acidophilus, etc. etc. etc. But, not being able to have sex???? I just don't want to ever have to give that up. For some reason, in my mind, I keep thinking if I keep having sex, it is better for me than not having it. That it is good to get the blood going there and " working out " the tissues. Does that sound strange? Because, I suppose, it could just be making things worse, although I haven't heard one time anyone say - don't have sex as a means to deal with this. Well, I have really rambled on here too. I called my gyn today and talked to her nurse. She wants me to contact my urologist with this latest problem. I seem a little better this afternoon, so I will wait until the morning. What kind of injections do you get? Is that because you probably have nerve damage? I'm sorry they aren't working for you. I'm sorry for everyone on this list and trying to figure out some way I can help everybody with some mind/body stuff I've been working on. Hopefully, I will have some good news regarding that soon. Hang in there, Amber --- RSand66893@... wrote: > Amber, > > I use to have the burning after sex and now it > hurts to much deep within to even attempt it. > I also have been having the urinary problems > and am now seeing a uroligist. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have a question and I'm wondering if any of you could answer it. I had my second injection (in my buttocks region near my tailbone) on Tuesday at the pain center, this time by a different anesthesiologist. Both he and the last anesthes- iologist asked I had ever injured my tailbone when I was younger since it looks like I had. I have always had alot of low back aches in the tailbone area and wonder if this could be causing some of my burning pain? Pam
Guest guest
Pam, My brother gave me the name of a PT in the twin citys are actually near were I live that is familiar with pelvic floor and womens issues. I know that she deals with women that have issues with IBS too. I dont know if she knows about vulvodynia or not because I havent called and asked, but I may see her if I need to after I am done with dialator therapy. I might just see her for the IBS. I could give you her name and number if you like. Bunny ----Original Message Follows---- Reply-To: VulvarDisorders To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re: ?? Date: Sat, 16 Jun 2001 11:19:01 -0400 Hi Pam, Yes!! A broken tailbone many time results in a malposition of the tailbone and the tailbone is where the muscles of the floor attach. A pull to one or the other side can increase tone in that segment and over time be causing or at least adding to the pain. If the asymmetry is so bad then the peudendal nerve and blood vessels can be compressed as they pass between the Sacro-tuberous / Sacro-spinus ligaments and the tendon of the obturator internus.Anything strong enough to break the bone may have also altered the position of the sacrum as well and that spells backpain. Find a good non-manipulative manual therapist !!! TKOPT RSand66893@... wrote: > Hi Everyone, > > I have a question and I'm wondering if any of you could > answer it. Date: Mon, 18 Jun 2001 03:32:35 -0000 , I would love the name of the PT. I started to see one a few months ago in Woodbury that my obgyn sent me to. She was with Health South and also treated women with vulvodynia. I quit going because I started having the urethra problems and it was just to uncomfortable to have her do the pressure points. Guest guest
HI Pam, No. Usually but not always, chiropractors are manipulative. Please see my response to Dee from saturday the 16th about the difference.
