Guest guest
A PEG tube (feeding tube) was inserted into my dad's stomach so he could receive nutrition as he was unable to swallow. Both bedside swallow evaluations and XRay evaluations were done with the conclusion he was unable to swallow properly ending with aspiration pneumonia. Anyhow, the PEG tube was inserted January 2000. My dad was very thin, weak, and couldn't walk. He rallied, began walking again, regained his strength and began eating/swallowing again. The tube was removed April 2000 and my dad lived until Sept. 20, 2002.
