Guest guest
Lynn, I don't think your message came across like that at all. I deleted the messages that I started to write because they were so negative! I agree with you that most people don't sabotage intentionally....but also that a serious conversation is in order, maybe even counseling to figure out why he is afraid of her losing weight and afraid to himself. , you keep going girl, and be strong! Sabotage/ I just re-read my message, and though I absolutely didn't intend to I feel it may have come across as a jab at 's husband. To be clear, I don't mean or believe this, which is my main point: most of the time people don't sabotage intentionally. Her words just started me thinking about my own life and relationships. Guest guest
I didn't take it that way so don't worry about it. It drives me crazy with how he acts when it comes to food. He is 14 years older than me and at a point in his life where his health really should matter. Even the doctor is bugging him now. He likes to eat out and I am learning to manage at these restaurants but I shouldn't have to 3-4 times a week. I look forward to visiting my mother since she is also doing ww. Everywhere else I go it is a battle. You don't want to be rude and not eat what is offered. My grandfather is bugging me to visit, I haven't been since I started ww. He cooks everything in bacon fat. It disgusted me then and it certainly does now. It always upset my stomach especially before my gallbladder surgery. If I bring my own food he will be offended. I'm glad you brought up this topic. I'm sure we have all dealt with people who try to sabatoge us. > >I just re-read my message, and though I absolutely didn't intend to I feel >it may have come across as a jab at 's husband. > >I'm glad it came up though because I would love to hear some ways that >others handle inadvertent coercion from their friends and families. > > >Lynn McNutt >-- >197/192.2/135 >10% (177) by 12/8/02 >135 by 9/7/03 > _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com

Guest guest
I intend to go and bring my own food, risking upsetting him. He definately won't try anything. He is close to 300lbs, severe diabetes (the doctor's want to amputate his legs they are so bad), a pace maker and history of gout and heart attacks. Nothing the doctor says will make him change his diet. But if he wants visitor's he will just have to allow me to bring some food. >i have the same problem with family jsut say grandpa i would love to come >but >due to health problems i may have to bring a few things of my own maybe ill >bring plenty and you can smple maybe that would work _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
