Guest guest
If these cramps are muscle cramps...you may be low on calcium. Try taking 1500mg of a balanced Cal/mag like Twin Lab's Tri Boron Plus.....it often gets rid of muscle cramps [even menstrual] in a matter of minutes. I guess what I notice most about it is that my perception isn't as focused and clear, and I find that I need to rest more frequently on the days when I'm taking it regularly. I don't know if this is a combination of the drug itself and the fact that have less energy in general at that time of the month, so I never actually gave it a lot of thought that it might be the drug itself. It's the only over-the-counter drug I use with any regularity with the exception of Anacin or Excedrin for headaches, and thankfully I suffer from them less frequently now so I can't really judge whether they have the same effect on me. Guest guest
I get horrible cramps and take 4 advil every 3 -4 hrs. No problems. I have recently lessened my dose with " epo " . I was really sensitive to alot of other drugs. ---------- To: diabetes <diabetes_int > Subject: Advil Date: Thu, Jul 5, 2001, 3:51 PM I have heard mention on this list of some people having arthritis along with their diabetes. I have osteoarthritis in my left thumb, and I am left-handed. The specialist tried me on Vioxx. It relieved the inflammation & pain; however, I proved to be allergic to it. He then tried me on Celebrex. I could not tell that it helped at all. Since it was so costly, I discontinued it. I have now started on 6 Advil a day, and it is helping to relieve the pain & inflammation. The only thing is that after taking the Advil for about 5 days, I am sooooo tired..... no energy at all. Has anyone found that to be a side effect of ibuprofen? I have having none of the listed symptoms of allergic reaction at all.
