A few different possibilities come to mind: 1) The power plug wasn't seated properly, so the notebook wasn't actually getting recharged. 2) The battery may be wearing out. As batteries age, they hold less and less power. The life expectancy of a battery varies depending on your usage habits, but if it's more than two years old and you use it heavily, this is probably the problem. 3) Less likely, but still possible: there may be a problem with your iBook's power management unit. Probably that the iBook hasn't yet caught up to the fact that its battery was charged; mine does that, if I plugged it in when it was below 10% battery power. Give it a moment and it should then assess the battery and say " Oh, wait, my bad " and give you the right amount of time/battery left. If it doesn't do that, then check to see if the battery is holding a charge anymore. If it's not, well, time for a new battery. Griff -- Don't believe everything you think.
