So I am interested. How much carbs can your hubby have without

deleterious effects on his blood sugar.

What is his typical daily menu like?

Thanks,.

Mo

............

Hi Mo,

I have myself and hubby on low carb diet but we eat healthy foods such as

green beans,a little meat. For breakfast my hubby likes eggs and waffle so I

get sugar free syrup and let him have it.I just do eggs or sometimes a few

strawberries and coffee. This is the only coffee for the day.

No white potatoes, white bread, white rice.He does love milk and has several

glassesful a day with sugar free chocolate syrup.

He is a chocoholic by the way.I crave salty foods but I have learned to

leave it alone :(

I do make a good salsa now and then and put it on my salad,lol..gotta have

it..would rather have chips but do not.

I use the FitDay.com site someone mentioned to help me keep track. It is

free to use and is a huge help if you want to see what you are getting in your

food/diet each day.

I make salads with avocado,boiled egg,celery,black olives..just different

things all the time so it doesn't get boring.

I keep boiled eggs on hand.

I also make a very good low carb soup..mmmmm it is soup weather here.

I use:

3 cans chicken broth..or you can use homemade if you had rather

Add 1 can seasoned tomatoes to the broth

Add garlic...as much as you like

I stir fry chunks of chicken.. you can buy that cooked if you want

I put in a little green onion with the chicken while it is cooking

Add a squash and a zuchinni to the cooking chicken, stir fry that

After this is done put it in the chicken broth.

Add one small box spinach, thawed and drained, let that cook a few minutes.

This is very good and healthy ,can eat until you are full

I got this from a low carb cookbook.

We just eat plain good healthy home cooked foods instead of eating out of

the box from stores.

Good luck,
