Guest guest
I have been on Zoloft since August 2004. I ran out a few days ago and do not want to take it anymore. I never was told that there were withdrawal symptoms until after being on it already. At first prescription from the Dr. - he told me it was a clean drug. The pharmacist told me it was not a drug I could just stop taking. She told me this after I had been on it for 6 months and didn't want to refill my prescription due to loss of health insurance. I have a friend, who is withdrawing off of Paxil, who has informed me of the dangers of stopping Zoloft cold turkey. She has also informed of the dangers of this drug - period. She told me to join this group, get a prescription and wean myself off of the Zoloft. I have made an appointment for tomorrow with my Dr. - He won't give me another prescription until I see him. I haven't seen him since February. Are there really bad withdrawal symptoms from Zoloft? I thought it was one of the drugs that didn't have any - or they were minor. I feel so stupid. I was just so depressed and having anxiety attacks due to a divorce that I was desperate to feel better. I am not normally a drug taker unless I am in some sort of severe pain. Any info will be appreciated, Debbi
