Guest guest
Hello all, just an update on my Mom, thanks for listening:) God bless all of you! And God be with all of you. I missed a day visiting my Mom, and yesterday when I visited at 1:45 p.m. she was asleep. I woke her, and she is sometimes stunned at first, I guess not knowing if she is in one of her lbd dreams or reality. First thing she told me was Billie is dead. (Billie is a lady she called that name at her old nursing home, which followed her in her mind only at this new nursing home). Actually, the lady's name was not Billie but Betty, and she was one mean cruel woman at the old n.h. Mom sat with her at the dining room over there. Well, the weird part is when she moved to the new home 3 months ago, this mean lady moved (in my mom's mind) over here at the new home, as did 3 men she knew over there. One of the men, LeRoy, in her mind only, killed Betty night before last. There are 3 LeRoy's, Jr. and LeRoy 3rd she talks about every day I see her. These dreams are so horrific, she will tell me that LeRoy beats Billie jean in the stomach so not to show scars on her body! Well, this B J lady will die and then in a day or two, she will act like she didn't die and she is getting beat all over again. Since this B J lady died she has been going downhill in her hallucinations and sleeping more and is depressed it seems to be. And I wonder when I don't visit her each and every day, she goes a little bit further into her dreams and out of reality. Because this is just what I am seeing for the most part. That's why I try and go everyday to make sure she is not going downhill. When I'm with her she's upbeat lots more. DOES ANYONE ON THIS GROUP HAVE THEIR L O'S HAVE HORRIFIC DREAMS LIKE THIS? Another thing, she told me also yesterday, she whispers so softly I have to get in her face to hear her and she sometimes mumbles her words. She told me that LeRoy is trying to talk her into leaving. So she told LeRoy, NO, I CAN'T LEAVE, LINDA WON'T LET ME. Now this has me worrying a little bit now (I don't think she will try to leave) but since these people in her mind are telling her to " leave " , I pray she won't try to put up a fight with the nurses and try to escape from there! I don't think she will though. Something in me says she won't. But she also hasn't told me this before either. It is the weirdest thing, at home she had the freedom here, she would just walk out the door and leave and I would get in fights with her telling her get back in the house, you can't walk away from the house, and she would tell me off. I knew this wasn't her at all, but that was the lbd talking. One last thing, lady across the hall (she is the daughter), came into Mom's room as she saw me and knows me somewhat as she helps out up there and I see her frequently. Said her mother fell and broke her leg in many places!!! She is furious about this because her Mom is always in a wheelchair and can't never get out of her wheelchair. And no one knows how she fell and broke her leg. She is a big time volunteer, and I hope she gets answers. When Mom heard this, the gossip of the home, seemed to wake her up and so then she was ready to go play bingo, ha! Before she was not going to go play bingo, she said she has got no sleep over this B.J. lady. I was glad she got out of bed to go play bingo. Sometimes she just needs a little push or someone to come get her out of bed to go play, most of the time she always goes to play bingo on her own. I guess the activity director can't go check with all the people to see if they want to come down. MOst of them they wheel in their wheelchairs. But Mom is not in a wheelchair but on a walker. As I was leaving yesterday, I saw one of her nurses aides, coming into work, and she is nice like all of them are, and said, hi, I saw your Mom in the dining room without her walker today. I told her, oh no, she shouldn't be without her walker!! She didn't say anything at all, just went in. That is another thing, my Mom fell about 2 months ago using her walker luckily she didn't break anything. But walking on her own, I guess they aren't watching her, as they have been watching her like a hawk and make sure she is on that walker! Just like maybe they weren't watching that lady across the hall and she broke her leg, and now has cast all the way up her leg. Thanks for listening, have a good Friday, God bless you all. in Texas
