Guest guest
Hey gang, I'm sad. After several years of sending Caitlyn to preschool only to have her suffer illness after another of pneumonia, croup, H flu, strep, dozens and dozens of temps well over 104, and zillions of colds which should have been minor but knocked my daughter down for the count for 2 weeks, the drs are finally recommending that she stay home from school a year. Just in time for Kdg. They are going to write for instruction in the home and therapies in the home. I feel saddened that my daughter is going to have such a far stretch from a " normal " life and is going to become more clingy and dependent and less social than she already seriously is. Our goals will become unreachable now. However, I know that sending her to Kdg won't help because she'll only continue to be ravaged by serious illnesses that will result in most of her days being absent and then we have the problem of her not being able to adjust and of all the lessons she'll miss. She's on the gammaglobulin treatments for the next 5 months and the hopes are a month off and she'll be stronger and ready to start school maybe next year. Let's hope Mom survives.
